PJ Diesel is privately owned. The company was founded in 1979 and has experienced significant growth ever since. PJ Diesel is a leading partner for circular repair and reconditioning of key components for large diesel engines and turbines. The company’s operating principle is the same today as when it was founded – Reuse, Reduce and Recycle. PJ Diesel is committed to contributing to the decarbonization of the maritime industry. This is achieved by actively investing in the development of innovative solutions that help reduce the carbon footprint. The backbone of the services PJ Diesel offers is a service exchange program. In addition, they offer turbo charger service, govenors & controls, fuel injection systems and repair, spare parts and reconditioning of 4 stroke engines.
PJ Diesel have partnered with major brands, like Woodward, Mitsubishi Heacy Industries, KBB Turbo Chargers, Regulateurs Europa, Reflow and HS Turbo Chargers.
The company is currently located in Copenhagen Harbor, but as part of the growth plan, they will relocate to Jyllinge in the autumn 2023.
The Job
As a Sales & Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing the sales and marketing team.
Initially, you will need to understand the business, the services and systems, the clients, and the current operation. Referring directly to the CEO, who is the founder and owner of the company, you will produce a global growth plan, including sales and marketing strategy and related budgets. When approved, you will executive the plan and report directly to the CEO. Your will ensure that PJ Diesel expands its customer base and that existing customers are serviced in the best way possible. Since you will be responsible for global growth, travelling must be expected.
Your professional competencies
- A relevant commercial or technical education
- People manager experience
- Experience with technical sales in the maritime industry
- Know how to develop a sales strategy and execute on it
- Used to work with data and know how to segment a market
- Experience with both direct sales and sales through partners
- Maritime exhibition experience
- Strong maritime industry network
- Deep understanding of the maritime transport value chain
